Conducting research, habitat restoration, and engaging in stewardship for degraded ecosystems on the south coast of British Columbia
The goal of ecological restoration is to accelerate the recovery of a degraded ecosystem and return it to a pre-disturbed state by adjusting the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the area.
Echo Ecological utilizes this idea to provide habitat conservation and restoration services to previously disturbed aquatic and terrestrial environments. We aim to provide solutions to ecological conservation problems through site assessments, monitoring, and detailed individual project design.
"Wetlands are often referred to as nature's kidneys because of the vital role they play in filtering pollutants and chemicals out of our water bodies. This an important ecosystem service that is freely provided by the natural world. It is our job as stewards of this planet to ensure these crucial resources are retained for future generations."
